LOOKING AFTER YOUR HUSKI
A Huski® is not just for Christmas. Here are our tips to keep your Huski in pristine condition.
After time your Huski is bound to pick up dirt, especially if you've been having fun. Despite being built to withstand the coldest of conditions Huskiwear is not designed for high temperatures; we therefore recommend washing at 30 degrees. Before washing, please do up all zips and remove the brown zipper pullers, belt and whistle. For optimum results use a specialist cleaner for waterproof materials; we recommend Nikwax Tech Wash®. We do not recommend tumble drying, and never iron, bleach or dry clean. If your Huski has fur, blow dry fur on lowest heat after washing.
Do not be tempted to over-wash your Huskiwear as all of our outerwear is coated with specialist durable water repellent (DWR). This is what causes water droplets to bead up and roll off, instead of soaking. The more you wash a garment the more it will reduce the DWR's performance so wash it only when you really need to, not every time you wear it. As your Huskiwear gets older, it may be time for you to revive the DWR coating. To do this we would recommend using Nikwax TX Direct.®
Once everything is clean and dry, hang your Huskiwear in a cupboard, preferably with a dust jacket, ready to go when winter finally comes again.
